We are looking for a Business Analyst I to join our Business Analytics team.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their analytics career who wants to develop technical skills while helping business leaders make better decisions through data. This entry-level professional role is designed for individuals who are building their analytical skills and gaining experience with business intelligence, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.

You'll play an important role by supporting business reporting, analyzing performance trends, monitoring operational changes, and communicating insights that help leaders make informed decisions.

In this role, you'll work alongside experienced analysts while developing proficiency in ECG's reporting tools, business processes, and analytical systems.

What You'll Do:

• Build, maintain, and update recurring reports that help leaders monitor business performance
• Perform ad hoc analysis to answer business questions and communicate meaningful findings
• Monitor A/B testing and business changes to evaluate performance and identify trends
• Gather, organize, and analyze data using established analytical tools and processes
• Participate in stakeholder meetings to understand reporting needs and business objectives
• Communicate analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Perform data quality checks and investigate discrepancies to ensure reporting accuracy
• Collaborate with Business Analytics team members and cross-functional partners to support data-driven decision making

What We're Looking For:

Strong candidates typically have experience in:

• Business analytics or data analysis
• Reporting or business intelligence
• Microsoft Excel and data analysis
• Data visualization platforms such as Power BI or Tableau
• Problem-solving using data
• Financial services, banking, fintech, or other analytical environments are a plus

Work Environment:

• In-office position located in Sioux Falls, SD or Sandy, UT for the first six months

• After six months, employees may be eligible for a hybrid schedule of up to two days per week remote, subject to performance and business needs

• Professional office environment using standard office technology
• Occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on business needs

Job Requirements

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Foundational understanding of data analysis and reporting
• Familiarity with Python, R, or another analytical programming language
• Basic understanding of Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, or similar visualization platforms
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to gather, interpret, and explain data accurately
• Ability to manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines

Preferred Experience:

• Degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
• Experience in business analytics, reporting, or business intelligence
• SQL or Python
• Tableau or Microsoft Power BI
• Dashboard development or recurring reporting
• A/B testing or operational analysis
• Financial services, fintech, commercial lending, or banking experience
